Flushing Hospital’s Internal Medicine Residency Program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. The program currently has 60 residents, 49 categorical and 11 preliminary year. For the 2025-2026 academic year we are recruiting 17 categorical and 9 preliminary year residents to join our program.
Residency training at Flushing Hospital is an educational experience, in a congenial and nurturing environment, that emphasizes high standards of ethics and professionalism. Residents are expected to be caring, competent, ethical, intellectually curious, and passionate about medicine. They will be prepared for successfully continuing with a fellowship training program or entering a medical practice. This is accomplished by carrying out scholarly activities and demonstrating and demanding clinical excellence.
