Current Masking Policy

Effective January 9, 2024

Effective January 9, 2024
All employees, patients, and visitors are required to wear a face mask in all areas of the hospital at all times.

After carefully reviewing current transmission rates in our community, and acting in accordance with the Department of Health data and CDC recommendations based on these statistics, Flushing Hospital has elected to maintain our current masking policy, which requires all employees and visitors to wear a mask in both clinical and non-clinical areas.

We will continue to closely monitor local data to determine when it is appropriate to revise this policy. We feel this decision is in the best interest of our patients, our employees, and our community.

In an effort to protect our patients, visitors and staff, Flushing Hospital Medical Center is updating its visitation policies for non-COVID patients effective Saturday, October 24th, 2022:

All visitors are required to show proof of vaccination status as well as photo identification OR proof of a negative COVID test (results within the last 72 hours) and photo identification. All visitors are required to wear masks when visiting our hospital.
