Expert NYC Prosthodontic Care

Get our specialized help to find the right tooth replacement options for you

Prosthodontists oversee the replacement and restoration of missing or damaged teeth with prosthetic devices such as implants, crowns, dentures, and bridges. This may be necessary for some people due to tooth decay, dental disorders, or traumatic damage to the teeth. Our services can also help for teeth that fit together poorly, to correct deformities of the jaw and face, and to perform certain cosmetic dentistry procedures. You may be referred to a prosthodontist for a specific complex issue by a general dentist.

Our prosthodontics services

Dental Crowns and Bridges: Dental crowns, sometimes referred to as “caps,” are artificial replacements for missing teeth. They’re added to implants that have been placed within your gums during dental implant surgery. If multiple teeth in a row are missing, bridges may be used as a singular appliance to fill in this space.

Dentures: Unlike implants and crowns, dentures are a removable appliance for replacing missing teeth. Partial dentures replace individual or sets of missing teeth, while full dentures may replace a full row of missing teeth.

Inlays and Onlays: If your teeth are not damaged enough for a full replacement to be necessary, a prosthodontist may recommend an inlay or onlay instead. These appliances are custom-made to fill in gaps in your teeth.

Temporomandibular Treatment: The muscles and joints around your jaw comprise the temporomandibular region, which can become subject to issues that affect you while sleeping, chewing, or yawning. These issues may present in the form of snoring disorders, pain or tenderness, and more.

Dental Implant Restorations: Before dental crowns can be placed to fill in for missing teeth, a dental implant must be placed in your gums. This appliance takes the place of the roots of your missing tooth, allowing the crown to attach to its top.
