Pediatric Emergency Department
The self-contained pediatric emergency department at Flushing Hospital is separate from our adult emergency department. It includes a patient triage center, a waiting room, and other child-friendly accommodations. Our experienced team of board-certified pediatricians and nurses specialize in providing emergency medical care to patients between the ages of 0 and 21. Each pediatrician and nurse in our Queens facility holds certifications in Basic Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Advanced Trauma Life Support. Pediatric Inpatient Care
Our Queens-based Department of Pediatrics utilizes skill, compassion, and advanced technology to provide care for infants, children, and young adults with acute and chronic illnesses. Located on the fourth floor, the pediatric unit at our hospital features 28 beds, enabling us to deliver dedicated services to our youngest patients. We also offer a range of other amenities to ensure the comfort and safety of patients and their parents, including a fully equipped playroom with a library and computer, as well as a media room stocked with a large selection of movies.
