The da Vinci Surgical Robotic Platform serves as an extension of our highly trained and esteemed surgeons. It consists of a console located in the operating room where the surgeon sits and controls the movements of the robot’s arms during surgery (The surgeon is in 100% control of the robot, which translates his (her) movements into smaller more precise movements.)
The dexterity of the machine allows far greater control and precision than the human wrist. Small incisions are cut at the surgical site in which miniaturized tools and a sophisticated, high definition 3D camera are inserted. The camera provides the surgeon with superior visualization – a magnified, 3D and high resolution image of the surgical site.
