Our Team
At Flushing Hospital, You will encounter many friendly faces for the duration of care. Our team consists of OB/GYNs, neonatologists, pediatricians, nurses, lactation consultants, licensed social workers, and support staff. All of these highly trained healthcare professionals work together to ensure that you will receive high quality care and support.
Prenatal Care
Flushing Hospital offers a wide range of prenatal care services which will provide you with the support needed throughout all stages of your pregnancy. These services include:
- General Obstetrics Care
- High-risk Obstetrics Care
- Diabetes Counseling and Care
We are also here to help you with planning your pregnancy by providing preconception counseling to discuss the steps you can take to become pregnant. Once your pregnancy is confirmed, we encourage beginning prenatal care right away to ensure a healthy pregnancy and delivery.
Designated Baby-Friendly USA Hospital
We are pleased to announce that Flushing Hospital been officially awarded Baby-Friendly USA® designation. Baby- Friendly® designation in an internationally known and prestigious recognition awarded to hospitals and birthing facilities that uphold the strict breastfeeding/chestfeeding and maternal care guidelines established by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and the World Health Organization (WHO).
What to Bring on Your Delivery Day
Our health care team would like to remind you to bring the following items: insurance information, night gowns, personal hygiene products, baby blankets and outfits, as well as a cellphone charger. Safety is very important to us. If your baby is leaving our hospital by car, don’t forget to bring a car seat. Please your jewelry and other valuables at home.
Your Labor Experience
Upon arrival at Flushing Hospital, you will be escorted to our Labor and Delivery Unit, located on the fifth floor of the hospital. Our Labor, Delivery and Recovery suites (LDR) are newly renovated, modern, spacious and private. Each room is equipped with amenities such as comfortable birthing beds, private bathrooms with showers, personal closets, flat screen TVs, tablets, rocking chairs and recliners.
