This month, Flushing Hospital Medical Center is proud to shine its Employee Spotlight on Olivia Oten, a cashier in the cafeteria. Olivia has been employed at the hospital for 34 years.
Olivia was born and raised in Ghana, Africa. She moved to the United States in 1990 and settled in the Bronx where she still resides. Her favorite types of music are Gospel and Christian. She also enjoys walking and dancing. Olivia likes to watch cartoons and Tic Tok videos. Love stories are her preferred type of movies.
When Olivia travels overseas, her favorite destination is Ghana. She has also been to Mexico, St. Thomas, and Barbados. One day, she hopes to travel to Paris, France and Niagara Falls. Her favorite types of food are Italian, Caribbean, and of course dishes from her homeland.
Olivia enjoys working as a cashier at the hospital because she gets to meet a lot of new people and learn about them. She likes helping others and knowing that she is brightening their day. Two very important factors in her life are God and good health. We are very thankful that Olivia is a member of our staff and we look forward to her continuing to work with us for many more years.
