Though stroke risk increases with age, strokes can occur at any time. Prevent or reduce your risk of stroke by:<\/p>\n<p>. Keeping your blood pressure, blood glucose and cholesterol levels in normal range<\/p>\n<p>. Quitting smoking<\/p>\n<p>. Staying active and maintaining a healthy diet and weight<\/p>\n<p>. Treating heart disease<\/p>\n<p>You may be having a stroke if you experience:<\/p>\n<p>. Sudden, severe headache with no known cause<\/p>\n<p>. Trouble seeing out of one or both eyes<\/p>\n<p>. Confusion or trouble speaking<\/p>\n<p>. Dizziness or trouble walking<\/p>\n<p>.
