It is important that the first aid kit is kept in a place that is easily\naccessible. &nbsp;Everyone should be aware of\nwhere it is kept.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The American Red Cross recommends that a first aid kit\ncontain the following items:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>2 absorbent compress dressings ( 5X9 inches)<\/li><li>25 adhesive bandages<\/li><li>1 adhesive cloth tape ( 10 yards X 1 inch )<\/li><li>5 antibiotic ointment packets<\/li><li>5 antiseptic wipe packets<\/li><li>2 packets of aspirin<\/li><li>1 emergency blanket<\/li><li>1 breathing barrier ( with one way valve)<\/li><li>1 instant cold compress<\/li><li>2 pairs of non-latex gloves<\/li><li>2 hydrocortisone ointment packets<\/li><li>One 3 inch gauze roll <\/li><li>One 4 inch gauze roller<\/li><li>One 3 inch X 3 inch sterile gauze pads<\/li><li>5 4inch X 4 inch sterile gauze pads<\/li><li>1 oral thermometer ( non-mercury and non-glass)<\/li><li>2 triangular bandages<\/li><li>tweezers<\/li><li>Emergency first aid guide<\/li><li>Flashlight<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, the kit should contain emergency phone numbers\nfor your health care providers and a small supply of medications when possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First aid kits can be purchased directly from the American\nRed Cross store and also online.
