Try this healthy, light whole wheat pumpkin beer bread courtesy of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sheknows.com\/food-and-recipes\/articles\/843509\/beer-filled-ocktoberfest-menu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SheKnows<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Yields: 8 slices<\/p>\n<h4><em>Ingredients:<\/em><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>1 cup whole wheat flour<\/li>\n<li>2 cups all-purpose flour<\/li>\n<li>3 teaspoons baking powder<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 teaspoon sea salt<\/li>\n<li>2-3 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice<\/li>\n<li>2 tablespoons brown sugar<\/li>\n<li>2 tablespoons white sugar<\/li>\n<li>12 ounces beer (I used Sam Adams Oktoberfest)<\/li>\n<li>1 cup canned pumpkin<\/li>\n<li>2 tablespoons melted margarine (*optional)<\/li>\n<li>Cooking spray<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><em>Directions:<\/em><\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Grease a loaf pan with cooking spray.<\/li>\n<li>Combine flours, baking powder, salt, pumpkin pie spice and sugars. Gradually add the beer and canned pumpkin. Mix until fully combined. Add additional pumpkin pie spice for flavor.<\/li>\n<li>Pour mixture into the loaf pan and then pour melted margarine over it.<\/li>\n<li>Bake for 50-60 minutes until loaf is fully cooked (a toothpick comes out clean when inserted).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p class=\"disclaimer\">All content of this newsletter is intended for general information purposes only and is not intended or implied to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
