In addition to providing your child with antibodies that protect him\/her from bacterial and viral infections, breastfeeding protects breast health because:<\/p>\n<p>. Making milk 24\/7 keeps breast cells healthier.<\/p>\n<p>. Breastfeeding\u00a0 triggers fewer menstrual cycles resulting in lower estrogen levels.<\/p>\n<p>. Women eat more nutritious foods and follow a healthier lifestyle.<\/p>\n<p>Whether or not you breastfeed, other lifestyle choices play an important part in keeping your risk for breast cancer as low as possible. Try to:<\/p>\n<p>. Maintain a healthy weight.<\/p>\n<p>. Exercise regularly.<\/p>\n<p>. Limit alcohol.<\/p>\n<p>. Eat a nutritious diet.<\/p>\n<p>.
