Additionally, people who\u00a0lose\u00a0weight\u00a0gradually, which is about one to two pounds a week, are more likely to keep the weight off than those who lose weight more quickly.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">If a person is not at a healthy weight, moderate weight loss can help improve their cholesterol, blood pressure, and blood sugar levels. Just a 5% to 10% reduction of their current weight may lower their risk for some chronic diseases, such as heart disease, prediabetes, and type 2 diabetes. Monitor your stress levels and the healthy ways you are reducing your stress.
